Here's an anecdote: we stopped at Mon Ami Gabi after a show at Paris in Las Vegas. There were perhaps 10 to 15 people waiting to be seated. We asked & it was a 45 minute wait. Just for grins, we logged into Open Table and reserved a table for right now, returned to the hostess & was seated right away.

She didn't seem to even recognize that we she had told us there would be a 45 minute wait literally 60 seconds before. Clearly, they don't pay her to think. But she was wearing a skimpy little black dress & had a nice rack.
Dinner and a show!

I don't want to own two houses by tomorrow evening. I don't want to move from one house to the next. But I want to move, if that makes sense. I just want to do it like on Bewitched, where she just wiggles her nose and it's done.

The homeless throw away the sandwiches we give them unopened unwrapped. In the trash in the bushes. Take one bite of caesar salad and throw it away. Really gets my goat.

By the end of the day, we will own two houses instead of just one. I am sort of freaking out.

And we had to go pick out light fixtures yesterday. That was grueling. My brain is already fried and we haven't moved the first item over there yet.

My house is all tile except for two area rugs and my bedroom. Guess where my cat decided to throw up her breakfast this morning? At least it wasn't the dead lizard like last time. I had to have the bedroom carpet professionally cleaned to get the blood & guts off the floor. :-(

Ack! I always say that the best alarm clock would be one that sounds like a cat throwing up.

OK, cat throwing up story:

When my husband and I were first married, his mom gave us a roast and gravy. They were in separate containers. Unknown to me, my husband loved the roast gravy, which was very greasy, so I decided to throw it away. Meaning, I decided to give it to the cat. Same thing, I thought but NO.

So - that night my husband sat down to roast and said "Where's the gravy?" I said, "Ooops, I gave it to the cat!" He was so upset! Well, right after he ate his dry roast with no gravy, he got up from the table - and stepped right in a big pile of cat vomit - which was basically all the gravy he didn't get!

I am sorry but I had to laugh at the irony!

At least a fifth of the bag of croutons is just crumbled crouton dust. They don't even have the decency to sell it all in cubes. Or at least 95% of it.
If I wanted to sprinkle bare, un-cubed MSG not even trying to resemble food onto salad, I'd have bought powdered MSG. Which I kind of did.

The landscaping in my development is suffering because the workers can't get their visas.

(I could make a couple of political comments regarding this but will refrain)

  1. Fox News treated me as being logged out of my provider when I wasn't; and
  2. This morning, there was yellow tape blocking the stairwell for power washing. It was still up at the end of the day.To get to my car without a lengthy detour I had to step lively over the tape.
