Dust. WTH? I keep cleaning and then when I go to paint..... more dust. The floor boards are the worst, I literally have to clean RIGHT before I paint and I hate painting.

OK, speaking of dust, I am PISSED.

I have a few open shelves in my kitchen. Not a lot, just like three. Anyway, for four years I have religiously dusted those shelves. By that I mean, dusted the ITEMS on those shelves. So now we are moving, and I am taking this stuff down off these shelves and OMG. THE DUST - it's horrible. HORRIBLE. And sort of sticky because it's in the kitchen. I am so done with all this! Except I'm not!

That's my first thought whenever I see open shelves in the kitchen. I would love to have them (if I had the space), mostly because you can showcase pretty dishware, but then I always think of the sticky dust. We have a baker's rack in the corner of our dining area, and cleaning that thing is a chore. I hate it. I always remember that when I crave open kitchen shelving.

Yes. No more.

I AM having some glass doors installed so that I can see my Polish pottery - but it will be behind closed doors!

I just accidentally sprayed myself in the face with air freshener. Thankfully I was wearing my glasses today instead of my contacts. I smell like Febreze One Bamboo now.

Our pool guy texted that he is on vacation this week. Just when we're getting a lot of rain, which tends to cause algae in the pool!
