TV shows I want to watch have been pre-empted for politics multiple times the past few months.

It sounds stupid, but right now it’s being slightly stressed about the HOA having an idiotic requirement of 14 plants and 2 trees in the backyard, where they admit they’ll waive the trees if you have a pool (we do), but we could only reasonably fit 12 plants. It’s a tight backyard and there’s just not room or desire to put 2 more and I’m not anti-HOA but I frankly think it’s none of their business as my house backs up to a hill that borders the community so nobody can see it anyway. It has been 5 weeks since submitting for approval and we haven’t heard anything. I did the work anyway and didn’t wait for approval, because it should be a pretty simple matter as we followed all of the setbacks and guidelines for approval. I just want the dumb letter back to relieve the stress since it’s the last issue. Everything else had HOA approval already.

We went from 5 adults, 4 dogs, and one cat in a small house.... to 2 adults and 2 dogs in a small hotel for 5 days. It's kinda better and kinda worse all at the same time. Mainly because DH and I are both bad sleepers and it's hard to do stuff without waking the other.

I don't understand how everyone isn't dead right now.

I've been looking for easy and healthy dinner baked recipe ideas, and finding recipes that aren't based on meat, dairy, or vegan frankenfood substitutes of those items is nearly impossible.

Do most people really eat meat or cheese every single day?? How does everyone not have heart disease?

Because it was all malarkey in the first place.

He wasn't saying anything was wrong with wanting a pool. He was recognizing it was a first world problem, which it is.

It certainly is.

Doesn't look promising at this point. We may have to settle for a hot tub and an outdoor water feature. Dang it.

Kathryn, have you looked into a Swim Spa? Pricey, but very cool. Lap pool, plus spa.

We were the cleanest things in there, and that includes my dogs.
