This one chick at the gym seems to have taken a liking to "MY" bike for cycle class. The other day she ran into the bike room from bootcamp to put her towel on "MY" bike so no one else could get it. I was like totally annoyed by this.

We are waiting on results of DH’s covid test....... he has fever ranging betw 98-100 and muscle aches. But he also went hiking last Friday and climbed 1500 feet. Still, not taking chances we are not sharing space and wearing masks in the house.

Thing is our poor dog is getting a bit frustrated with getting wiped down with sanitary wipes constantly because she keeps looking for Daddy and then climbs on his lap, then looks for me and does the same...

Good luck on the test. That's not exactly a first world problem, except maybe the doggo part, but then a stressed out dog is pretty serious too.

I'm over here letting my mustache grow out a bit and the two sides aren't behaving the same way, or rather, one side is well behaved and the other kind of has me tripping

I am replacing my Ipad mini with a new regular Ipad, because my mini is old and because of Zoom.

I will have to leave my mini at the store, so data from the mini can be transferred. I could be without any Ipad, to which I practically tethered, for a couple of days.

I guess I’ll live, but still—-

I don't know which is worse - the eyebrow thing or the iPad thing. Ugh.

I'm getting stressed thinking about both of them.

OK speaking of stress, I've had a stressful morning. OK so a month ago I had what I thought was a very minor fender bender - I was going like 3 miles an hour when it happened! But this is what I pay insurance for and I drive an expensive car apparently so in spite of my formerly excellent driving record, and subsequently a higher premium, it was better for me to file a claim. So I did so. And I had to wait over a month to get my car in to the collision repair place, because of, well, the pandemic, short on staff, etc. "The New Normal" and all that jazz. Which also stresses me out but I digress.

So the insurance company told me a month ago that "Here is the confirmation number and just be sure to contact the rental car place the day before so they have a rental car waiting for you when you drop off your car." So I "know better!" than to try the day BEFORE, right? So I started trying to call the rental car company days ago - DAYS ago. To no avail. You can't send them an email from their website. You can't chat with them. Their website didn't recognize the confirmation number that the insurance company sent me, so it couldn't pull up my reservation (which come to find out had never actually been made anyway). I tried calling every single number including local numbers, but I'd either be put on hold for 30 minutes or more, or get disconnected, or (my personal favorite) BOTH. Long story short, I couldn't reach anyone the day before - or the day before the day before. Or online. So...I just figured I'd show up at the collision place and take it from there. Someone there had a cell phone number for a local manager, who came and picked me up. Then I had to wait and wait and wait at their office for a vehicle. And when they finally brought me one, it was so dirty that the guy who brought it said, "Hold on - I'm going to take this back." (This was after I waited for over an hour because supposedly they were cleaning this vehicle.) So off he goes with it again, and I sat and waited some more.

Then I realized, after I got home, that I still have to use the front door because I don't have a garage door opener in my other car that's getting fixed - I have it programmed into the car. So then I had to hunt down my obsolete garage door opener (which I did find, thankfully), and go open the garage door, then get in the rented SUV with the key provided, and then I could finally pull into the garage. LORD HAVE MERCY. And of course nothing is where it is on my "real" car in the rental car. Oh well.

All's well that ends well.

Oh aside note - during my final attempted communication with the rental car company, some guy with a foreign accent actually said to me, "No offense, but I have to ask this question - why you not try call the rental car company?" OK, several things - first of all, I AM calling the rental car company - which would be you, dipstick (I had a better word but it would be bleeped out). Secondly, I told you in my very first sentence that I'd been trying to call the rental car company for THREE DAYS. SO SHUT UP.

He never helped me - he just put me on hold like everyone else has done, and I sat there for thirty minutes listening to static-y advertisements and pithy sayings from the rental car company, till I finally just hung up because hell, I was at the collision center by then and I figured I'd just walk in and take it from there. "Will somebody alive and in the United States of America just please help me?"

So it took me all morning but I eventually did manage to 1) drop my car off to get it fixed and 2) get a rental car and 3) talk to a live person in a call center in India.

Good news! I got my new Ipad in one day.

Bad news—it is huge. Really huge and kind of heavy.

Good news! It will be much better for Zoom calls.

Bad news. Best Buy charged separate fees for transferring data and setting it up. Boooo

To whoever left the "rep point" saying my post was too long - sorry - it is what it is. Which is frustrating.
