I tried to cut off the top part of one of those resealable bags and the scissors when somewhere other than sticking to the dotted line and I cut through the sealing part. Now the bag doesn't seal so I have to find a clip. Almost impossible. I bought 25 clips from a dollar store 6 months ago and there is not ONE to be found.

I have too many socks to fit into the designated sock drawer. I also have too many bras and only two boobs.

I saw an article in the Onion the other day where some single guys announced a plan to launder their sheets by 2019. When it comes to single guys, be grateful when they launder things ... don't even try to hope for IRONING.

I actually liked my late wife's aunt's take on these things: if a bed is good enough to get out of, it's good enough to get into. I don't think the woman has made a bed since 1952. Gotta love that woman.

I have to either drink room temperature wine immediately, or wait for it to chill in the fridge.

Room temperature wine isn't so bad.

A few weeks ago we had caucuses in our state. I thought the delegate thing was settled here. But no! I got a voters' guide in the mail for the presidential primaries! What? We have caucuses and primaries? Why? And--again I see signs up for local elections. They happen almost year round here. I almost don't care. I wish for one election day a year, or every other year would be even better.

However, we do get to vote by mail, and that's a lot better than standing in line at a polling place.

I got a call today offering to forgive my student loans.

But I have already paid off my student loans.

I have been waiting impatiently for my Peace rose to bloom. It has several very husky buds seemingly ready to open. Every day I check, but the weather has been cool and damp. I thought maybe that has held them back. Today we drove into Portland, and I'll be doggoned. The roses in Portland are in full bloom. Makes me kind of irritated. Everything blooms earlier in Portland.

I heard that folks in Nome, Alaska agree with you.
