OP - I am allergic to wheat, too. I do really well for several months then I get cravings and give in. Then the bad skin and bloating comes back.

I try to have my favorite tasty foods on tap so I don't cave in. Guacamole, crab, salmon, etc. That helps. So does eating lots of protein and produce at every meal.

Good luck!

Yikes! That's scary! Sounds like her body developed a dependency on the pills... :/

Not like a drug dependency.

Birth Control for Acne Treatment: Types, Benefits, Risks

This is an easy read. You'll understand better when you read it.

My child had acne, severely, in the teen years. Accutane cured it, although it took two courses of treatment. I don't know how often it is prescribed now. If you absolutely cannot make it to a dermatologist, then I'd get birth control pills from Planned Parenthood, and try that. Read the article first, so you know what sort to ask for.

The best shot is a visit to a dermatologist though. See if you can figure out a way to do this. Good luck!
