As soon as my sister was born when I was 18 months old, I knew I was different. But then, I remember my birth, and things that happened when i was only 6 months old.
i'm straight! well i know that even long before i started dating boys and getting crushes on them, i have always needed a man that was older than me, it's just what im comfortable with. i will date a guy that is between my current age and 5-7 years older than me.
I was five and had a huge crush on the boy across the street who was probably 12. I thought he was very cute and I always stared when he rode his bike by my house. My mom was pregnant that year with my youngest brother, and when she asked my ideas for names I gave the name of my crush. So that was how my brother got his name.
As a side note, whenever I hear about people who insist being gay is a choice, I remember that first crush and how it wasn't something I decided and thought about. It was just who I was. I'm straight but don't think it's different for people who are gay. It was never a choice.
Maybe 23. I went through a lot of "being gay" or "being transsexual" phases before I reached my final verdict. I dressed as a woman all the time in public when I was in my early 20s, to my embarrassment now, as I wasn't trying very hard and I don't really identify as a woman anymore.
I don't remember and I don't think it matters to me. However, the earliest memory I have of liking the opposite sex were when I was in grade 2. In fact, to this day, I still believe this friend, had our relationship continued and she had not moved away, would have been the women I married. I have not since known kinship like this save for my failed stint with my last girlfriend in my early twenties...
