During my tenure of employ,I recall either making way for the younger generation to take the helm, or bash them to the ground with insolent remarks.
I chose the former. Most truly are lost souls in dealing with adult manners and how to conduct themselves in social environments. Lets face it, most of their parents were trying to portray the "we need more!" so our kids do not have to grow up like we did. ANd those parents are right. The kids grew up being spoon feed , not learning to put forth and certainly not having a good role model to lean upon.
So at the end of any day, when dealing with persons of various age groups, you'll have to decide if you wish to lead them or impart some skills , or push them down to be insignificant in this world.
I rarely try to force my skills ....as they seem disinterested. Yet when the time is right, and the person is willing, amazing changes do happen. I've been blessed with learning as well, I don't throw the baby out with the bath water, but I do change the bathwater sometimes just so we can see clearly what is being attended to.
Why would I hate the most educated generation in history
Educated. Oh, that's rich. Really ultra rich. This is the generation that singularly vaulted a smelly, old, crusty, Trotskyite, collectivist, self-admitted Socialist who has never met tyranny that he didn't love, to the near-nomination of standard bearer for the Democratic party. With education like this, who needs retardation?
I agree. Tons of dirtbags in our generation. However, I think ALL current generations (Boomers, Gen X, Gen Y, whatever is next) have major entitlement issues. That's ingrained in our culture.
The last great generation was our grandparent's generation (which is not a surprise since they built the America that the Baby Boomers destroyed).
In any event, there are good people out there. They are just few and far between.
YEP. The only words I got for most are. Lame, stiff, old acting, most older people 35-80 years old are way more fun and laidback, with a great personality, and sense of humor than the usual millenial. Untalented, boring, overly serious. I never heard so many 20 something year olds say sir and ma'am in every sentence they say, in my life. And to each other. Loners, anti social, little to no personality, not sexy at all. Not brave or leaders. Definitely a bunch of followers. It shows everytime one makes a comment online. It's always the same repeated shyt you've heard before.

I am an older Millennial, born in 1983 with the cutoff year being 1981. Some people call us Xennials because social media came around when we were in our 20s. As I'm getting into my 30s I increasingly identify more with Gen X as many younger Millennials embrace the culture of victimhood and entitlement. Part of it is because I was raised in a more old fashion way in a rural area. From a young age I was expected to do chores like cleaning briar patches with a blade, gardening, even killing snakes that came in the yard. On occasion I was whipped with a belt or switch from a tree branch. I've never felt it was close to abuse. There are good things about young people today (they really want to be accepting of others) but most of them were treated like emperors from birth and they think that any competition is bad because everyone should get the same trophy. For now I blame their baby boomer and Gen X parents, but eventually they will have to change or Western civilization won't last much longer.
Well, I used to hold out hope that the millennials would take this country in a new direction from where the "me generation"(baby boomers) left it but that hope is fading. They are living in the shadow of the boomers just like Gen X did/does and they don't seem to have the will to change anything.
What we really need is a generation to come along and change "the script" of how society works. We need a generation that doesn't sacrifice it's ideals for creature comforts. We need a generation that *has* ideals.
You do realize most of them are only in their 20's. Give them time.

Yea I feel like early 30s and some late twenties act a little more like Gen Xers. You're right on the cut off line going into the millennial generation. And kind of act a little like both. A little more serious than Gen X but know how to make a joke and take a joke. I don't even think of anybody in their early 30s as millennials. Like you said Xennials is a better name.

Millennials are Baby Boomer's kids. The few who might have Gen X parents had them as teens. So most might've been raised by a Baby Boomer grandparent anyway. It would be hard for a millennial to act like a millennial with Gen X parents lol. Generation Y are Generation Xer kids. And they act just like their mini me's. Kids who are in H.S now. Millennials are 18-33. The worse ones are 21-27. Anything before or after that acts a little more like the next generation.
