I have always heard women tell a man they don't know how it is to be raped but alot of men who entered prison do understand but of course men aren't allowed to be "victims"we have to be "macho".My cousin did 3 years in prison(for a stolen phone)which is crazy but that is the system for you.We are suieing the DOC due to he was sexually assualted by inmates and guards(medical records). But it seems like in prison its condome heck people believe when someone enters prison they deserve violence.Which to me makes it sick,so in a world where we say violence is wrong, yet we condome and encourage violence in prison, why is that?Espically american prisons(we have the most prisoners in the world).

We don't condone or encourage it in prisons, it's just hard to stop, and there are few activists that will protect criminals.

I would think it would be easy to stop. Hire more guards and have cameras. It seems simple enough to me unless the systems feels that if a person is in jail, they are probably bad people and deserve it? There is no excuse for inmates to be assaulted in prison.

I agree its hard to stop, but we are creating trauma for young men and american prisons make a low level offender into a worse offender i mean we got young men in prison for something like weed, petty theft, unpaid fees,probation/parole violations, and many other non violent offenses. And due to america's view of criminals we let them get totured and abused.

Rape is more traumatic to the person who experiences it. period.

If Mr. So and So in jail somewhere experiences rape, that is not very traumatic for me. It doesn't bother me that much.

I I experience rape, it is my trauma. My trauma is paramount, another person's trauma is not relevant to me.

That would be so for anyone. You cannot compare something like that.
