When the words "not enough" and "I want" are in the same thought, that is usually a red flag. Another word I have often heard thrown around in families is "obligation." That word would worry me more than loyalty.

What about needs and wants? I see a need as something I must have within an intimate relationship....a deal breaker, if you will.

I agree. You end the relationship and find somebody who fulfills that need. When I say, "red flag" I don't mean the person is abusive. I just mean that you need to pay close attention.
