I don't think they PREFER M & P over women. They don't really have a choice. I'm in the same predictament I'd love to be in a relationship but that is out of my hands so I have sexual needs I need to meet somehow.
"Men Going Their Own Way" does, literally, sound like they're making a choice. They chose to buy into that nonsense that women are out to get them.
...while I'm admittedly an old fart well into my 60's I recently came across some youtube videos of this, I assume new, MGTOW(men going their own way) movement. Is this a growing movement, an anti feminist cult or just some guys that have had their hearts broken and can't deal with it? I was a little baffled by the whole notion.
I read some stuff about it and found out that I have "alpha groupie" tendencies which is very, very bad. It was quite enlightening.
I feel badly for a lot of the men out there today. Some of these gals have way too high expectations especially when it comes to income etc.
Turn on that BRAVO CHannel and watch some of these shows. They actually want to know how much the guy makes before they will date and what kind of car do they drive? Sad!
I think it is a reaction to the extreme feminism of today....

Hypergamy... mgtow groups seem to have a strong opinion about it... For some, it is their view that men are told that seeking sexual attractive women is bad while it is ok for a woman to seek a man for his resources (money, power, influence).
I read some of the material... some of it makes sense and a lot of it goes overboard. I wouldn't say the group is a bunch of losers... just have similar views/perceptions as a reaction to changing gender roles (or rather the inability to adjust to changing times).
If someone is happy and living their own life, they're probably too busy to have the time to develop some Unified Theory of How They Got Screwed Over by ____ (Women/Minorities/the Government/whoever).
Fixating on, and avoiding, some group that supposedly colluded to ruin your love life is not a good way to fix one's love life. A good way to fix one's love life is to work on one's self and work on meeting similar people.
But, if someone truly has no desire for romantic companionship, that's a personal choice. It doesn't have to be tied up in making whiny YouTube videos. It can just be a solitary lifestyle choice. I know plenty of women, too, who go their own way, e.g. older women who have kids and are divorced and they've just had enough of the nonsense and choose not to date anymore.
If you Go Your Own Way for yourself because you're happiest that way, great. If you Go Your Own Way but deep down you're lonely, then that's an unfortunate choice.
