I was watching some documentaries on the psycho California killer, Elliot Rodger and it appears that he was jealous not just of other guys with girls but in actual fact his looks. Even though he felt that he was good looking he knew very well that it did not match with the ideal of the 'whiteness' of American society.
Also a few minutes ago, I read a thread on another forum where someone was talking about attractive French women that entered their store and made all the men awe-struck. I remember something similar in my life where one of my African cousins seemed really envious of how attractive a biracial girl was but seemed to just brush it off though I do remember how she felt almost inferior for not being attractive in her body language.
My question is, why does it seem that some people just let that go and others get extremely frustrated and turn to anger? People say that "Attractive women have their problems too" but honestly that might not be as true and who goes around thinking like that in real life?
It really does surprise me that there are not more people like Elliot Rodger. Maybe he was very excessive and delusional but I imagine with so much inequality in health, wealth, good looks, family stability, quality of social circles etc...why do so few people get enraged by that to have homicidal and/or suicidal ideation or perhaps the most undesirable of all, mass murder?
