When I was young and stupid, I preferred "beautiful."
Now that I'm older and wiser, I prefer "smart".
Just like my daughters. I had to tell them they were beautiful when they were young then as they got older I had to get more creative. You're such a great mom, stuff like that.
I scotch-taped my nose up last night and demanded that my husband tell me I was beautiful. Repeatedly. And then I requested that he tell me how smart I was for coming up with the idea of scotch-taping my nose into the semblance of a pig snout.
