I'd imagine it helps but I think discipline is more important.

My husband died in 2010 and 8 months later I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Had a double mastectomy and am doing fine. In 2013 had my thyroid removed which caused me to have a paralyzed vocal cord. I recently spent 11 days in the hospital with pancreatitis and had to have my gall bladder removed. I nearly died.


I still have a positive frame of mind on most days. I just feel that everything happens for a reason and the way we react to these misfortunes says a lot about who we are and how others perceive us or emulate us.
