I want as much sun and light as I can get. The winters here in Tennessee drag on. I can't imagine living in the NW.

Count me in with those who have had enough warm sunshine to last the rest of their lives....and then some.

My favorite 5 months of the year are quickly coming to an end and will be replaced by perpetual sunshine for another 7. The only consolation is that more of those days will be cooler in this area than in most of the rest of the US. Still, the unabating sun and the human turmoil it feeds in the day's afternoon and evening hours is a vexation to the spirit and a tiresome, recurrent ball-and-chain.

I love short days and dark "gloomy" weather all day long. It's so much more calming, forgiving, and cozy. Sunlight is too loud and harsh, and anything over 60F is too hot. Even when wearing sunglasses, the being in the sunlight makes me squint. Am I the only non-sun worshipper?
No, definitely not. Although I wouldn't like dark cold/rainy/snowy/cloudy days 365 days a year, only 14 days (either all at once or spread out) of sunny and hot (over 85 degrees) in the summer would be perfect for me!

I like cold and snowy winters, mild and pleasant springs with mostly sunny days but occasional rain, very cool and crisp sunny autumns (with, again, occasional rain), and sunny summers averaging in the high 70's, but with LOTS of thunderstorms lasting at least 24 hours. I am definitely a four-seasons type of woman!

I don't like long, sunny days either. I like it dark by six or so. I'm not a big fan of rain though and it seems to rain all the time where I live. However, I don't mind cloudy days one bit. I am extremely sun sensitive, always needing sunglasses and a hat so summer is my least favorite season. It's very hot and humid here during the summer AND stays light outside until 8-9.....ugh. No thanks. It also prompts my noisy summer neighbors to stay outside later and be even more obnoxious. Yet another reason I am a fan of fall and winter.

I live in SoCal and cannot get enough of the sun. It has been cold and rainy for over a month now and I am moody, eat to much and want to sleep until summer. I don't want to leave the house, don't exercise as much as usual, regret having an active dog (just kidding but the walks are currently annyoing). I cannot remember anymore how I survived real winters before I moved here.

I hate summer, love fall, winter and spring. Love rain, snow and darkness, hate bright glaring sun, humidity and heat. Guess I am one of the crazy ones.

I'm like that 24/7/365. And the sun's got nothing to do with it.

I have relatives in Oregon, and Vancouver BC, and the times I’ve visited both places I almost never saw the sun, and I liked it!

You are not alone.

I prefer the gloom. I really live in the wrong place for it.
