I have social anxiety (I guess anxiety in general), time management issues (I have always done things near last minute and sometimes poor prioritization since I was in school and at my jobs or I arrive late to school/work/events), and fear of confrontation. Sometimes these things affect me at once or in a short period of time and it leads me to feel depressed, so I was wondering if these were all connected or related somehow?

I have some of the same issues. I would recommend counseling, I have utilized it and I think it helps.

Social anxiety sucks!

Can you say what the medication was?

I take 2 antidepressants...Wellbutrin and Lexapro. Don't forget these meds don't work the same for each person.

Discuss with your personal MD or get a psych eval with a psychiatrist to address this issue.

A professional can help you tease apart what may be underlying these things. Think about it this way....counseling and medications are tools. The counseling clarifies and explains what's going on (which relieves some of the anxiety), helps measure progress, and teaches you coping skills. A medication helps keep you from hitting your limits as often or as quickly. Either one on its own may not work as well, but that's hard to predict. Hope you find some help!

Yes, those all can be anxiety-based.

I've tried both with mostly negative side effects. Some side effects are tolerable, others not so much.

Like I said, ADs work differently for each person. I do tolerate some side effects in order to reap the benefits.

Talk to your MD or Psych MD about your SA.

Procrastination is a form of defiance.
There is no pill for that.
