What do people do in public that is RUDE? (responsibility, adult, parent)

I would rather they blow (discreetly) in public, if they can't step aside anywhere. The opposite is my pet peeve - someone you are stuck next to in a public place who continually "sniffs" stuff back up their nose instead of blowing it out once and for all. And yes, people over the age of 5 DO do this.
My mother once asked my pediatrician, "When do they learn to blow their noses on their own?"
Everything. My peeves are behind the wheel. No signal, cutting off, cell phone usage.
I was really annoyed the other day,and the damn light turns green.Ahh nevermind I am already irritated.
Oh and walking into a walmart on the wrong side or people taking up the aisle and getting THE !!!!!!!
No way I am the opposite here. An escalator is made for people who want to NOT walk up stairs. If you want to do that there are stairs right beside you. Assuming you were to run up the escalator you would get to the top exactly 1 second before you would on the stairs.
It is so bad lately with people smashing into me when I am just trying to ride the escalator that I think we are going to start needing signs that indicate the the escalator is made for riding NOT walking. In fact, one of the escalator repair guys told me that is one of the biggest reasons for the escelators needing repairs. It is not designed for people running or walking up it and it puts stress on it.
I think the official rule for escalators and moving walkways (aka "people movers") is that you stand on the RIGHT and pass on the LEFT. I've got bum knees, and therefore avoid the stairs when possible... I can walk for miles on a flat surface, but stairs and sharp inclines hurt. So yeah; people had better not get pushy if I'm using the escalator as intended!
I agree with your first two, though, and would add that anyone who applies liquid makeup (anything strong smelling or that can spill) is rude, as is anyone who flosses their teeth or picks at them. Finger nail polish (or nail polish remover) is the worst. And no, I will not suffer that in silence.
You must have read my mind. I posted a thread (with a photo!) about this on the NYC board the other day. The woman across from me on the train seemed normal, reading a book, etc., until the moment when she popped a nail polish bottle out of her purse and leaned down to paint her toes. She had people on her right and her left. In fact, every seat in the train car was taken.
All I did was snap a photo. I don't like opening my mouth to confront people in public, as it often has the effect of making me more upset from doing the confronting than they appear to get after confronted. Also, I would have probably appeared to be the crazy one, not her, if I had told her it was inappropriate.
Also, after all the stuff I've seen on the NYC trains, unfortunately nail polish application might not even make the top ten.
