What the government could do is give away a pound of meth for every ton of trash picked up. In a few month's time, you wouldn't find as much as a cigarette butt on the ground.

Good to see someone local with your attitude and I wish we were neighbors. I realize not every local is a trash dumper, but enough do it in this state to remind me of West Virginia. Very disappointing to see all these littered yards. It’s a big turn off for an otherwise beautiful state.

Picked up another 2 bags of litter on my walk today. We have 2 main walks that we go on, sometimes longer walks, sometimes shorter. It seems that we get about the same amount of trash when we walk. There are very distinct areas that attract trash. Along one stretch is a concrete barrier that runs for a half mile or so. Lots of trash behind the concrete barrier. The west end of town is where we live and that gets picked up a lot. The east end of town, not so much. Occasionally we drive to the other end of town, but generally we just start walking from our house.

It's kind of amazing to get almost the same amount of trash every time we go out. I hate to think of what it would like with no trash pick-up.
