I like how sports games are never looked through this perspective...

Sports games are some of the most thought-provoking and stimulating video games out there

When you are in a match, just like when watching a sport being broadcasted in tv, your brain also kicks in that gear of being into the herd, supporting your team and then using that knowledge of strategizing through a match to win with decent effort.

Also depending on what sport the game is recreating, certain sports are more action-packed than others in the gaming world...

We can include racing games into this scenario... Espefially racing sims, your brain kicks in into that adrenaline rush scenario of trying to maintain a lead(or certain position)

Now you see where I am coming from?

Some people are looking at them that way ...

https://www.apa.org/pubs/journals/re...p-a0034857.pdf

Believe it or not, the most improvements in cognitive performance come from shooter games, which this study says develop: "faster and more accurate attention allocation, higher spatial resolution in visual processing, and enhanced mental rotation abilities..."

and: "These cognitive enhancements are likely a product of the visually rich three-dimensional navigational spaces and the fast-paced demands that require split-second decision making and acute attention to unpredictable changes in context..."

But is the study particularly taking sports games into account?

Just curious, does playing sports games make you feel the same way?
