Yeah, West Coast, HI, Alaska and some other areas, the women are more natural, in general. We don't wear pantyhose here, and it don't matter how fancy the office is, pantyhose are never required.
But a point also about men..... women can be wearing make-up and guys don't seem to notice if it is done "natural."
Concealer, mascara, bronzer, eye brow plumper, a little blush.... and most guys have no idea you are wearing it.
Right.
Here in Texas we don' wear pantyhose either. In fact, the overall dress code, even in very professional positions, leans to the casual side. For one thing, summers are long and hot! But I was working professionally in this area from the 1990s on and I clearly recall wearing panty hose and business suits to work every single day for years. Burning up! I was so glad when that all relaxed.
Let's take note that one single man feels he has the right to tell ALL woman how they need to change their behavior to please men. As if a woman's main reason to exist revolve around meeting the whims of men.
i thought plastic surgery would stop harassment about my features. it just seemed to up the "greater expectations" aspect; it would have been cheaper to learn assertiveness skills.
If you look back it was common for both men and women to paint their faces. There was war paint for the Native Americans and tattoos on top of that. Why do women do it? Many wrong reasons nowadays IMO. Social pressure, to instill confidence, competition. There's also the artistic side of it. Some women do it for fun and really enjoy doing it. If guys get a kick from shooting guns why can't women paint their faces?
Yup, society convinced women they must wear makeup in this world. So much so, they look unregonizable without it. It's a very sad thing.
If the woman is as tall as the man or taller, plenty of men will complain about his woman wearing heels.
I'm just shy of six feet tall and have a penchant for wearing shoes and boots with a bit (or more!) of a high heel. I have yet to have a man complain about my height-- either with or without those high heels even though most men I've dated have been shorter than I am or of a similar height at best. Then again, if a man I'm dating has an issue with how I dress, there's a very good chance that our time together will be short-lived.
It's the same thing with hair and makeup for me. While I enjoy the attention garnered when I go "all out" by straightening my naturally curly hair and putting on my version of a "full face" (no contouring, etc., as I inherited good bones from my parents with naturally well-defined, yet delicate features), I simply look like a different version of myself rather than unrecognizable (except to a few coworkers who have never seen me in my "civvies" )
For me, clothes and cosmetics are just a grown-up version of playing dress up and role playing--not a requirement demanded by society.
I've talked to so many men who can't seem to speak to anything but my boobs that it makes me wonder how they even know whether or not I'm wearing makeup. I could be wearing a clown nose and they wouldn't notice.
Ever listen to the lyrics of ," I Enjoy Being a Girl".
Also I wonder how many women with NO makeup he has actually seen.
If he wants such a woman, then I imagine the line Q,ing up to marry him will be pretty small.
Well, what I want to know is what drives mature men to grow Ozark style bushy beards and wear cowboy boots every day? I mean there must be some psychological reason, right?
And why do some guys feel they have to have a gun somewhere on their person at all times?
And while we are at it, what is the reason men comb their hair over their bald spots, when anyone can spot a combover?
And, what is the reason some guys wear shorts all year round? There must be some psychological reason, I imagine.
Are they giving into vanity? Societal pressure? Social media?
And here is a real question I’ve wondered about many tines: how did so many men of all ages get bowlegged? Is this a look now? And how did they manage to achieve that look?
As a straight man, I can tell you that most straight men, myself included, prefer women not wearing makeup at all. Don't get me wrong, I'm attracted to straight women, not butch women, but I like women to be low maintenance, not fuss with makeup or curling their hair or doing their nails or plastic surgery. I don't want my future wife to waste time and money on her appearance.
Like I said, I don't like butch women either. But couldn't long hair, and maybe a modest skirt or dress sometimes be enough femininity?
Makeup must just be big business and their marketing. Or maybe women wear makeup to get attention from other women.
By the way, guys, be aware of your speaking volume. You may think only the other guys hear what you say, but we can all hear what you say. I've heard comments like these all over the place when no one thought anyone else could hear.
I've talked to so many men who can't seem to speak to anything but my boobs that it makes me wonder how they even know whether or not I'm wearing makeup. I could be wearing a clown nose and they wouldn't notice.
This experiment needs to be done immediately.
I'll find the funding and supply the nasal accoutrement.
