If you do what you do for money and social position you will be a jealous slave all your life, because you can never reach the top of the pecking order.
I pretty well agree with the OP. IMO, here's what matter:
1. Money
2. Looks
3. Social connections
4. Intelligence
And in that order.
If you have all those attributes, you'll never want for anything. If you have none of them, your life will be difficult. Probably tragic, possibly short. If you're between those two extremes, your life experience will be between those two extremes.
Exceptions are few and far between.

I disagree. You seem to be forgetting those with emotional and mental health problems, which is a helluva lot of people. I bet you can name many people with all 4 attributes who destroyed themselves in despair anyway.
This post is more related to sociology and/or social psychology than general psychology.
Think about it--with enough money, you can overcome or at least ease any problems you may encounter.
With enough social influence, you get to decide what is "right" or "wrong" for other people and can make them do your bidding.
With enough knowledge, you can do what benefits you in the long run.
Tell this to the former part owner of the Minnesota Vikings who recently shot his wife and then himself. His $22 million dollar mansion and all his wealth wasn’t enough to overcome his problems. https://www.cnn.com/2019/04/11/us/fo...rnd/index.html
Social influence enables one to decide right and wrong for others? That’s called Socialism. Uh...NO THANKS.

Its true regardless of the economic system in place. Might makes right, after all.
1. Aptitude for critical thinking.
2. Social intelligence, making gains in this on a constant basis.
3. Persistence/Determination/Consistency.
I think those are the most important "resources." With those three attributes, you can acquire money, social influence, and knowledge... and anything else, really.
