our five part solution:
1. do something today which we did not do yesterday.
2. something this week which we did not do last week.
3. something this month...
4. something this year...
5. something EVER...

I crave mundane. I can't escape "novelty".

Pretty much this ^^^^.

I like going at my own pace, or as the mood strikes me so I take online classes, and a wide variety of subjects. My creative learning leans towards cooking, and photography/editing, and interior design.

I get stuck on a subject like French or English monarchies, Rome, etc. and binge read/watch on the subject.

We exercise a lot so we try new exercises and routines for variety, interactive video games like Dance Nation, we sporadically practice Spanish... forget what we have learned and start from scratch.

We are moving so we can travel more.

I actually enjoy a routine. I find it comforting. But when I do get bored all I really need is to get out in nature, either with a new drive or hike in the country.

Honestly, my life is pretty novel. I guess if I need to spice it up, I try a book that is maybe a little different from my usual selections or look for a new restaurant, take the dogs hiking in a new place. I set goals for myself. Right now I'm trying to work on my writing more and exercise more. Mixed results, lol.

Spending time with my friends usually brings me all the mental stimulation and excitement I need. We tend to spend a lot of time making each other laugh.
