I learned a long long time ago to NOT go here with myself and others in my life. There are many ways to get messages to yourself and others without the Shoulds....I've heard this Should from so many in my life and I shudder when I hear it and it just came up a little while ago in another topic area and thought I'd post this remninder.

It seems to me life as a whole is against should. Everything I think should happen doesn't happen and the opposite of that.

There are probably many things I ‘should’ do - doesn’t mean I will.

Yes, we probably “should” ourselves too much. However, I truly believe that there is a time and season for everything, including feeling obligation.

I do it way too often. I shouldn't have married my ex-wife, I should have been a better husband, I should have taken a risk with my ex-wife and had kids during the great recession, I should have chosen a different career with less a-holes, etc.
