I fundamentally reject the very premise of this argument, not to mention its conclusion.
I can't rep you again but I would. This malignant strain has coursed through all Western history in one variant or another. The European variety is mercantilism under the monarchies, which morphed in Marxism, socialism and communism.

The American strain is more complex. As you point out this hits us from both the right, as Puritanism and the Left as first the Progressive Movement, and then Marxism and cancel culture.

Why are some people disobeying stay at home orders and partying or going to the beach and such?

Well, according to the new CDC reports, only 6000 died directly from covid. Meaning according to the CDC all these other deaths were attributed to underlying conditions.
Stay healthy folks and enjoy the beach!

Why? Because 50,000 people protesting shoulder to shoulder in masses for 40+ days straight, screaming at the top of their lungs, didn't cause any increase in cases, so why would sitting with friends in a park increase cases? Please note that Muslims have worn face coverings their whole lives and still reported to have Coronavirus. This is the biggest hoax since the "vaccines cause autism" insanity. You don't put 50,000,000 people out of work because 200,000 out of 343,000,000 died. Eventually in the year 2030 there will still be 1-3 new cases a day in every state and they'll still be trying to restrict everyone. Having to ration your food because you are barely making any money with your business at .00005% capacity will weaken your immune system, the stress of quarantine will weaken your immune system, lack of fresh air and normal oxygen flow (masks) weaken your immune system. And all these offset the .05% that you are going to kill someone by stepping outside LMAO, TRUMP 2020

could have something to do with politicians and bureaucrats not following the very "orders" they insist YOU do.
The hypocrisy is astounding.
Explain to me how walking on a secluded beach, or going out into the woods to gather mushrooms is going to expose you to "the virus".... yet (where I live )I can go to a restaurant only if I wear a mask, but it's OK to take it off while I'm eating...(such an understanding virus)

I was in a large store the other day, and all the adults working there and 99% of the adults shopping there were wearing masks.(I was probably the only one not). There was a woman in the store with her two children, probably 6 to 8 years old.
I couldn't resist saying to her..."Oh, you forgot to put masks on your children".
Her reply was "Its not required for children".
Then she said "where's YOUR mask in a very angry tone.

So now I'm wondering...if I'm an adult with the mentality of a child, am I still required to wear one?.....or can I run freely among the adults without one like all the other lil children.
Can "the virus" tell the difference?...seems our Gov figures it can.

Just another example of the extreme hypocrisy this virus has exposed.
