From my personal experience, it seems that women are a lot more anxious about coronavirus. Some of my female friends in their 30s locked themselves up at home, afraid to leave the house for any reason even. Whereas males seem to be a lot more at ease about it. Why such a difference in attitudes?

Haven't noticed that myself. I'd say half my friends are women, half men. A few of each are more anxious but it has nothing to do with gender and everything to do with personality.

I had not noticed that Fear Of Covid fell along gender lines. But, if that IS the case, maybe it's because often times, women have to be the nurse in the family, and take care of everyone else when they get sick.
Or maybe autoimmune diseases tend to attack women more than men.
One thing I've noticed is there is a lot of resistance to mask wearing in certain circles. Just look at Sturgis. Very few, if any masks were worn and they were NOT socially distancing. Let's see what comes of that. Coronavirus attacks men and women at the same rate, but men die at a higher rate due to more underlying conditions.

That's because they are women. Same reason they are more sensitive to food that "doesn't taste right" and are always reminding children to button their coats and to be careful.
They are in charge of raising and protecting the children, in order for the species to succeed. Simple evolution.
I suppose some of the "anxious" women would say they are being more responsible. Among the men and women I personally know, I have not noticed that pattern.
