I am trying this, plus ADHD meds. My mom freaks out because I was prescribed Strattera, which is supposed to be one of the safer ADHD meds due to being a nonstimulant. But she is acting like it will automatically make me suicidal or a drug addict.

Fair enough. As said in Frozen 2, you just got to do the next right thing. That song actually comes back to e alot...

That logic is self-defeating. You can say that for everyone. But saying "hey at least l don't have X problem" doesn't magically make your life better.

When people have problems they try to overcome them. Sometimes they can't, sometimes they need time and sometimes they need to rethink their problems in order to be able to move on and enjoy their lives.

Don't add to your problems by also getting anxious and worrying about social norms. You are an individual and you have your own plans and circumstances in life. You make decisions and the consequences unravel - good or bad.

You say you would like to be normal. Well welcome to being normal normally people have problems and normally people wish they could have something better in life!
But also try not to hyperfocus on hypothetical things like the past and the future - you are who you are now, and it may be difficult and frustrating but it is also fun and interesting.
