A video popped up on my YouTube feed just now about Sigma males. My son is a Sigma male.

I started thinking, what if I'm a Sigma female? Looked it up. Yes, I'm a Sigma female. However I do not agree with the statement below because I know plenty of Sigma females. I knew plenty when we were young and I think women become even more so as they get older, but I've always been a Sigma.

Are sigma females rare?
A sigma female is basically a lone wolf; she is not only a confident and smart woman, but she is also highly independent, self-reliant and enjoys her own company. Is the sigma woman rare? Yes, like the sigma male, the sigma female is considered the rarest of the personality archetypes.

These are not actual traits based on scientific findings. The long-held myths of alphas, betas, sigmas, etc. in wolf packs has been long ago disproven. In fact, it was the study of wolves held in captivity that spread this myth in the first place. The original author of that study has spent decades trying to rectify this erroneous line of thinking. These "archetypes" are akin to astrology fwiw.

However, in none of these outlined situations is there any evidence of strength-based dominance hierarchy that occupies the public’s mind. Instead, a wolf pack is a family unit where the parents (or in rare situations the grandparents) lead by virtue of being the ones that brought the rest of the pack to life.
