I seem to struggle with word association problem and linking of words with similar sounds words when I try to play those memory word games.

Example dog , leash, sun, sunglasses, key, car, umbrella, rain, beach, water, toothbrush, toothpaste, mouse, keyboard so on.

Other problems I struggle with are synonyms and antonyms.

Example fast, slow, hot, cold, light, dark, big , small, like, dislike, skilled, non skilled so on.

Could this be some kind of disability or disorder?

Yes it is.
Try to avoid a lot of amateur diagnostics before doing that.

But not sure if this is some learning problem I have or memory problem I have.

I don't understand the "example". What is this an example OF? it just looks like a string of words.

What is it exactly you struggle with in those words? Maybe I should ask HOW do you struggle? Is it with the definition of antonym and synonym, that you don't understand what those terms mean?

If some one said dog I should easy be able say leash or if some said sun I should have no problem thinking of sunglasses. And if some said car I should easy think of key so on.

And opposite words like fast, slow, hot, cold, light, dark, big , small, like, dislike, skilled, non skilled so on. My brain should not shut down and have problems thinking or take long time to think.

Or ... it's something else altogether. No ONE here can know either. See the doctor.

No idea. FWIW, you do seem to have difficulty making yourself understood in your posts here. Often requires several follow-up posts to clarify what you are trying to say or what you want from the threads you create. Sometimes your posts give the impression there's a language barrier; that English isn't your first language. OTOH, maybe you're just a disorganized, poor writer/typist!

If I'm trying to remember the word sarong, I always think of futon first. And hydrangea precedes anthurium the same way.

It's just a learned pathway.

If you're saying you can't think of ANY words to associate with dog, I find that a problem.

If you're saying you can't pick LEASH out of that string of words ^^ I find that a bigger problem.

I don't even know what to make of the synonyms and antonyms.

I have a terrible memory after 30 years at the phone company focused on just passing people's names and numbers right THROUGH my head specifically trying to NOT remember them.

And I can't do a crossword to save my life. Maybe lack of interest since i can spell and vocab.

I'm guessing because of reading mostly non fiction since forever. Or not challenging rare fiction like Grisham, King etc. *shrug

You can get a thorough evaluation for that stuff.

My kid had to get one when he was young but I forget the type of psychologst who did it.

The results were VERY specific and scientific IE: He is a better auditory learner and test taker and should be given verbal testing when possible.

Stuff like that. Then the schools come up with a documented plan called an IEP. Then you get to fight with them about it and executing it LOL.
