Hi! This is my first thread on this forum.. I must say this forum has been a huge help with our decisions to move to florida!! My husband and I are moving with our 2 dogs to Bradenton, and we are looking at Solana Vista apartments. It looks decent for the price, but I haven't seen any posts on here or reviews about this apartment! Does anyone know if these are decent apartments? This is going to be short term, we are going to start looking for a house.. but we don't want to live in a crap apartment either Thanks for all your help! I'm so excited to be near the beach soon!

Oobie is are resident Bradenton expert. She's on here pretty frequently. You might want to DM her for a quicker response.

I was born in Bradenton but things have changed over the years. I'm now in southern Sarasota county and don't keep as close tabs that far north.

Oh Bob (BBronston) might have some input as well.

If these are the apartments on 75th street in Bradenton, then go for it. Im assuming it is since they have a somewhat loose dog policy in comparison to other apartments. It is a beautiful complex in a nice area, close to many things, dining, grocery, banks.. and of course, the beach. They screen thier renters carefully and therefore have a very decent clientle, working middle class, and young professionals. No trashy, wild partiers like you can get in other places. I have recommended this complex to many others. A few I keep in touch with are happy there.. They used to be Colonial Grand at Palma Sola..

And yes, some parts of Bradenton are iffy, but this particular area is very nice. The rule of thumb is stay west of 59th or East of I75...You can also go towards University Pkway (the border of Sarasota and Bradenton) and find some very nice areas..

I can't tell you how many name changes and drug dealing tenants that complex has gone through in the last ten years....
