Most every tackle shop carries those grip gloves. The color is a little off the original orange from years of fish handling but they wash up and retain their form nicely. Just don't dry them.

I was kink of kidding...I just thought it was amazing the way the color and pattern exactly matched the fish

Trolled the canals for about 3 hours Saturday afternoon. Landed my first multi-spot redfish. Photo'd and released. He was only 16". Caught another red, a little smaller. Caught and released two snook, under sized, and one Jack Cravelle.

I fared a little better in my backyard canal on Sunday. Trolling a small plug lure, 20lb test, 30 pound leader, Captain Blair Wiggins Inshore Slam rod, Wright & McGill 3500 reel. I love that rig!

A minute away from docking my boat on my own lift...I pick up the rod to reel in and put it away for the night and BAM! the fight is on. Alone aboard I had to fight the fish, pilot the boat to chase him down on several really long runs, deploy the net and land the fish. 15 minutes and one sore right arm later, he was mine.

If this doesn't raise my property value, nothing this year will. Backyard snook. And a Mogan at that.
Captain Blair Wiggins calls a combination of a Monster and a Big'an..... a Mogan. This was the Mogan I've waited 6 years for.

This my friends is what a 33" snook looks like. I'd like to believe it's the same one my son caught and released off my dock about 3 years ago during the closure...3 years grown. Truth is I think our waters are filled with these Mogans. Gotta love livin' on a salty piece of land.
