You'll have great pizza in Charlotte County someday soon.. For now there is always Sarasota.. An invasion of Canadians, Europeans and folks from the NE and Chicagoland, along with some more escaping the Miami/Ft Laud area is a sure bet to be an accelerating trend in coming decades and increase demand for both styles of pizza..

For pizza close to Port Charlotte, I would recommend "Super Day Express" on the corner of Gasparilla and 776 in Englewood. Yes, it is a gas station, but they have good pizza and wings inside along with cheesecakes and other goodies.

The other place is Krusty's in Sarasota on 41. Now that is the best deep dish pizza I've ever had. Sure it's a hike from Port Charlotte, but you might check it out one weekend.

I like Bella Napoli in North Port. It's in the old Publix plaza on 41 and Sumter. In between the new liquor store that just opened up called the Booze-a-Torium and the pet store.

Super Day Express has the best pizza in Florida that I have found.
I was surprised to see your post.
I see you're another person who gets pizza at a gas station

I say, whatever works!!

Living in Bradenton and working in Sarasota, I'll have to give Krustys a try.

Love the fried fish at Super Day Express too! Homemade cole slaw too! Yummy!

Is there a Winn-Dixie or Publix that is open 24 hours in Port Charlotte? We are getting in late on Monday and will need to pick up some breakfast basics.

My husband and I (yes, retired) moved to Port Charlotte in Dec., 2009. LOVE IT!!! I won't tell the subdivision we live in because it is WONDERFUL...volunteer homeowner's association for $40.00 a year, has it's own boat ramp for $45.00 a year, a mixture of families with children and retirees. We are very close to Englewood, 15 minutes to the beach, we feel BLESSED!!! We stay off the roads when it is crowded which seems to be mostly during the middle of the day. We have lived on the East coast...if you are looking for night life and the hectic way of living as well as REALLY HORRIBLE traffic and driving practices check it out. We prefer the west side...either way I think Florida is WONDERFUL! This is coming from a Texan!
