Did anyone else get hit with the storm last night? My goodness we had TONS of rain and HAIL! yep quarter sized hail!! Some pretty high winds too. A dead tree across the road fell and was blocking our street so we picked that up this morning. Just glad we didn't lose power. We really needed the rain but could have done without the hail!

How accurate is 'double doppler' radar?
I had a second TV tuned to weather channel 10-2 for two hours watching large areas of lt. green, dk. green, yellow, orange, red patterns rolling directly over my house. I had a few sprinkles, not enough to even drip off the roof.

That's what we had figured, at least 3 inches. My grass is now happier!

3" in PC. Already started grilling when it started. Needless to say I was quite wet afterwards. The tingling I get when the lightning is around is what chases me inside. Had one a few days ago. 20 sec later after I got in, CRACK! Out of a clear sky. This was when NP got hammered. Remember, if you can hear thunder no matter how far away, you can still get hit.

We are in CT and did get some heavy rain, thunder a little wind but no hail. First it was miserable hot and muggy here then the rains came. We didn't have much of a winter and were hurting for rain for a time, it has more than made up for it now. Hope nothing got damaged down your way!
