One week and counting! We'll be leaving Maryland this Wednesday for our closing on Friday (as long as nothing unexpected comes up). While I'm not looking forward to the drive down I-95, I'm as giddy as a school girl about taking up residence in Florida (no offense to giddy school girls). Time to learn a whole new style of fishing!

Welcome to the neighborhood! I remember my last trip down in a rental truck with the car on a dolly on the back. Scared and excited at the same time. Have no regrets except the job market sucks! I hear 'over qualified' so many times. I refuse to dumb down my resume though.
We should be starting our own business in the next few weeks though. Nothing I've ever done before but we are in FL!!!

Wolbrette Circle in PC, right on the Ackerman. I'm going to have to bring some Guinness over to Capt. George's in the hopes that he lets some crabs past his house up my way!

If you leave, leave really early 4:30 AMish! That way you will avoid all the beltway traffic (both Baltimore and DC!). You want to be through the DC area by 6:15 that's when traffic picks up even on a weekend.

When you hit Jacksonville - take route 4 across - not route 10! when you get to route 557 take it to Arcadia - that will save you a good 45 minutes! If you take route 10 from Jacksonville to Orlando to Tampa it adds a lot of time!

If you drive straight through - like I do you'll arrive around mid-night, if you only stop for gas and some fast food.

Drive safely - precious cargo aboard!

Delay of Game!

Looks like our closing has been moved back to the end of next week due to issues beyond our control. So, the drive down I-95 will be postponed until next Tuesday.

Keeping our fingers crossed!
