We've killed a couple of brown widow spiders in the past year. Supposedly, their bites are minor. Back in VA we used get a lot of black widows so we are far better off here in that category.

I've been bit by both and the browns seemed to do more damage...not much to worry about though.

Everyone reacts differently with these kinds of bites. If bitten, everyone should get immediate medical attention. Don't wait and see how bad it may or may not get! Go right away, even if you think it won't be bad - the reactions vary a lot, not only with people, but with each and every bite - the bites are not all equal!
