Well we figured out why the cat goes crazy sometimes. There is an anole running amuck in our house. Bout a 5"er. Don't mind him/her hanging out however I don't want any lizard dukie in the house.

Are there any humane traps? If I can find it, I'd vacuum it up and dump outside. Glue trap is too cruel unless the bugger jumps on me at night. Then all bets are off!

Or do I just let the cat finally catch it (after knocking all the stuff off the tables )

Thx!!

Seems like I'm not the only one. I don't want lizard poop in my house!

I can send my dog, Katie, over. She can catch them within a minute and she runs outside with them into the yard. She gets them in our lanai. I haven't had any in the house. You should be able to catch it with a dust pan and put it outside.

Anole love trash cans. If you leave the lid off, the anole will eventually go into the trash can and then you can take it outside. That's how we got rid of ours.

Thanks for the tip. We've never managed to actually catch one when they get in the house.

I just grab them, and take them outside and let them go.
THEN, I wash my hands thoroughly!!

I like that idea. May just have to give it a try. We can't find the bugger now though. We'll just have to look like rednecks for a while with the can in the living room. Maybe I can practice throwing my Yueling cans in it!!!

Tam-I don't think Katie would work with our kitty in the house but it would be cool to watch! Thanks!!!

I have a little trouble catching them because of arthritis. But I found it's very easy to suck them up in a large shop vac, and release them unharmed.

Anole? Is this some fancy word for a Gecko? Perhaps an Italian lizard?

Hardly Italian. French Carib Anolis. Geckos aren't the same thing.
