We are considering impact resistant windows and front entry. We will definitely use perimeter shutters on the lanai. We like the idea of utilizing the lanai space during a storm rather than dragging everything into the house. Plus the cost of the impact resistant sliders is prohibitive.

We went with the sliders on the lanai- not only for hurricane season, but also to be able to close them when we go out of town.
