Three car garage? Oh my hubby would love that, he has his "shop" in our garage and its just not enough room. That is one thing we should have considered. He manages though.

I keep joking that it is a garage with a small attached house!

Hose spigot on the lanai.
x2 on making sure the garage is big enough. As in for a boat or RV, or boat and RV (just thinking ahead).

We are considering impact resistant windows and front entry. We will definitely use perimeter shutters on the lanai. We like the idea of utilizing the lanai space during a storm rather than dragging everything into the house. Plus the cost of the impact resistant sliders is prohibitive.
The impact resistant windows? Still not sure which way to go. Pros and cons on both sides.... Cost, vs ease of use, vs having actual structural shutters, vs........... Decisions, decisions. Fun decisions to be making, but decisions none the less!

We went with the sliders on the lanai- not only for hurricane season, but also to be able to close them when we go out of town.
we did not get to see the 3d view, and had an issue with the support columns on our lanai. I wanted to be able to stand at the front door and see out to the canal, but we had two support columns impeding the view. cost us big money and a lot of time to have them moved. Just something to thing about with your plans.
