My family will be moving to PGI in 2 weeks. We need to find all kinds of doctors. Primary and pediatrician as well as rheumatologist and neurologist. Any recommendations? Oh and a pediatric dentist as well.

Thanks!

We use Dr. Holganza in Port Charlotte for a pediatrician. She's great, spends a lot of time with each patient and isn't antibiotic-happy. She's willing to consider alternative/holistic treatments, too.

The best dentist we have ever used is in Sarasota. Her name is Glori Enzor. She was wonderful with my then-two-year-old, who had taken a big fall and chipped all four of her front teeth. I called a pediatric dentist, who told me that they'd need to put her to sleep in order to do the work, and I just wasn't cool with that. Dr. Enzor did it with no novocaine, no gas, no tears, no fear. We used her when the kids were very little, but aside from being far from Port Charlotte/PGI, she also doesn't accept insurance, so we had to pay out of pocket then she would submit for our reimbursement. Once the kids got older, we decided that it wasn't so critical that they see someone absolutely wonderful. We now use Dr. Levarne in Venice, who we like well enough. (Though it's still a trek.)
