Hey everyone well it looks we are finally moving to the west coast this summer and are looking at a few homes in the Lake Suzy area on the airstrip side. Any info on the area?

We are also looking at a few houses in section 15 Port Charlotte as well.

Any information on the areas would be great.

Have a nice day

Lake Suzy is a little bit out in the country but not too far from Kings Highway with some shopping and restaurants. Port Charlotte Sec 15 is close to Kings Highway as well. What age of home are you looking at? We have found lately that some of the homes in Port Charlotte Sec 15 have been appraising lower than list price and the area is becoming older (homes built in the 1990's) and the homeowner insurance is more expensive. Homes built 2002 and newer are lower for homeowner insurance. Both areas are at least 45 minutes to any of the beaches. Either area is a safe area with a comfortable style of living.

We are looking at the home is section 15 that was built in 2000 and Lake Suzy in 2006.

I have been looking at comps and agree appraisals have to be coming in lower than list based on recent sales.

We have a friend that lives in that same section, on the air side, he just moved there recently and loves it.

Lake Suzy is a nice area. I don't know much about the "air side", but ride by there on my motorcycle all the time. It is a bit rural, but not too far from Port Charlotte. Great Bass fishing there.

Do you have a plane?

My father has a plane thus it would be nice that they would fly right into our community. Also it seems the air side has no HOA's and restrictions on boats etc. Anyone know the deal with the school that was closed in the area(Lake Suzy Academy?). The area does look very nice and agree its more of a rural feel out there.
