I noticed that Publix is WAY overpriced. I like Winn Dixie - also get fuel points there and free coffee while I shop. I do notice that Publix is on every corner in North Port - we do need more competition.

Om I am saying a prayer right now that my Pool Light is installed correctly. Our bulb went out recently and I just don't even have the moula to replace a bulb right now let alone a whole assembly!

Last year I had Superior Pools refinish my pool and the concrete patio around it. My pool light was cracked and the entire fixture needed replacement. They only charged $200 for a new assembly. That was for a standard light; not the LED upgrade.

Just curious. When you say refinish the pool what do you mean?
Also what does something like that cost?

On the pool deck and lania, they removed the old pebble tech surface, replaced the drain that runs the width of the patio, put down new "Flo Crete" (looks like a knock-down drywall or plaster finish) on the surface and painted it with two coats of concrete stain with a different color around the band of the pool.
They drained the pool, ground down the surface, and chipped off the old water-line tiles, replacing them with new tiles. They also water proofed around the returns and replaced them with new ones along with a new main drain. The pool surface itself is a "Crystal Stone" (looks like very small pebbles) finish.
As stated above, the light fixture was replaced for $200 and the plastic steps in the deep end were cracked, which they replaced at their cost of $100. Total cost of the job (not including light and steps) was $8000, $4,000 for the pool and $4000 for the deck/lanai.
This summer (about 10 months after the rehab) I did have one area along the lanai drain where the concrete started to crumble
. They came right out, ground out that area, and patched it back up
. I'm just waiting until the end of the rainy season to paint the patched area.
Superior Pools was great to work with and I can vouch for them standing behind their work.
