Sea Lass...if I may...I have seen many miracles, and believe Katie will get hers. You sound like a great Mom to those 3 very lucky children. Have faith. God is in the miracle business. I am praying for the medical team, and for you and Katie....

Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers...I have 4 children (1 biological and 3 adopted at birth). I believe in miracles too... my son was diagnosed at 11 months with a rare blood disease, he became a patient of St. Jude Children's research Hospital. He had chemo every Friday for 10 years. During this time he had 4 relapses (head tumors). He was a patient of St. Jude's for the first 18 years of his life. He is now going on 22 years and is a senior in College. I know Katie will get her kidney, I trust God.

Hi everyone...I haven't been on here lately...not much good news to share.

Katie (26 yr old daughter) was told last Friday that she will be on dialysis in about 6 months. Her donor was a match but was found out to have 2 tubes instead of one tube from her kidneys. So the transplant team couldn't use her, about 20% of the population have this defect.

Katie's kidneys are now only functioning at 13%...she is 3 points away from dialysis. We are still searching for our "angel donor" to step forward. We can still use lots of prayers too.

I received my divorce in June; something I was looking forward to getting since I packed him up and set him out! I would like to meet you all sometime .

I hope all is well with everyone. I will try to post more and get on here more often than I have.

Happy Thanksgiving,
Paulette

Hi Sea Lass;

I'm sorry things aren't going well at this point for your daughter, my prayers and best wishes go out for her, and for you too. Hopefully the transplant team will find her another donor- I know they'll be looking hard to do so.
