Punta Gorda has new businesses coming in. The Punta Gorda airport is adding new flights with Allegiant Air. Cheney Brothers is building a plant which will hire 380 employees to start in 2015. So there is some growth in the county. Permitting for building single family homes in Punta Gorda has also increased.

If you want to read more about what is happening in the county, go to the Charlotte County Economic Development office web site: Charlotte County Economic Development
Read the Economic Development news and you will see what the county is working on. They have increased their marketing efforts to bring new businesses to the area. Read the Priorities.

I also read that they are trying to get another bus transportation service similar to SCAT that Sarasota County has. All we have now is Dial A Ride and Sunshine.
Where and how do you check for permits?
