They are all over. I had one cross the gun range and we had to stop shooting to wait for it. Saw a big on on the golf coarse in PG that you can see from the expressway, it was just out of the water sunning itself. There are a couple in the ponds on Sumpter rd in NP. No shortage of em.

What range, Cecil Webb? I saw one walk across the parking lot there last year or the year before.

Yep I call it Babcock/Web but yes that was it. I have photos I took with my phone. We all stopped shooting and watched. There is one pond on one side of the rifle range and one one the other. It was about 6 feet long.

Where is the gun range to which you refer?

It is a state owned nature area / park in Southern Charlotte County off of 41. There is a traffic light at the intersection of Tucker's Grade Rd. that you need to follow under I-75 and into the park.

There is an exit on I-75 for it too, but I do not know the number. Look for Babbcock - Webb signs.

This web site explains it better than I can.

Default Monday Afternoon Sun Bathing

Hey Gary,

Just road by the Publix pond and the smaller one (about 6') is laying on the SE bank at 3:15 Monday afternoon. No sign of the big one.

It was pretty cool early this morning so I figured he would be there and he was all afternoon. For all I know he may have been out on the other side in the morning.

I drove over there on Sunday but didn't see anything, I'm in Home depot quite often I'm sure I'll see them eventually.

Just rode by there and nothing. I did notice somebody is laying out little piles of popcorn & seeds in the parking places at the South end of the pond. But it is outside the fence, so I have no idea what they are trying to attract. Big fines if caught feeding the gators.

Heard the two are back at the pond behind the clubhouse at Eagle Point too.

Alligators in Charlotte County-img_3168.jpg

This is the little one behind Publix.

Am struggling to learn how to upload pictures. Hope this works.

Also have pictures of two gators laying in back yards at Eagle Point.
