I had my first interaction with the North Port PD (this is my 2nd season here) I called them after seeing a large snake in my garage. they were prompt and very professional they did a great job removing the snake without killing it , the snake was a Burmese python about 5' animal control was called to bring the snake to a rescue center. Thank you and great job

I sure hope I don't find that surprise when I go to my house!

there was a story on the news about a big one down in Naples......I wonder if this was a 'pet' , though why anyone would want to keep a python as a pet is beyond me..well done NPPD

Default Np pd

I have had positive interactions with the PD as well. On one of our trips, we left the back gate on our rental mini van open-a police officer knocked on our door in the middle of the night to make sure everything was ok and to let us know about the open hatch. Seems like they care about the community.

A python in NP? Yikes! Sure hoping it was someone's pet that was released. I know they are south and hope they aren't working their way up here. Just add that to the list of things to watch for I guess.
