No, what happened and when? We ended up launching down by Fishing Franks, fishing the harbor and then going over to Boca Grande.

Not sure of the name..but nice ramp over there...free parking too

Fatal boat vs. jet ski accident. Sucks no matter what, but especially so this time of year.

been up there and seen some crazy behaviour, especially jet skis....and sadly 'they suspect alcohol was involved'....didn't surprise me.....see too many people boating, docking up ,having a beer, then boating back........water and beer don't mix (as Big House will testify)

It's not just the booze & boating. It's also the morons that don't have a freaking clue what they're doing and shouldn't be operating a watercraft.
There's nothing wrong with ski alley. It's the A-holes that abuse it and think they can do whatever they want with no repercussions. Sad, very sad. We are there almost every weekend in the warmer months and have a great time with friends, but you HAVE to be safe & responsible. Apparently that's too much to ask of some people...

launching by Fishin' Franks?? Are you sure you were by Fishin' Franks? There's no launch by there. Especially not with free parking. I'm intrigued to find out what launch you were at. All Charlotte Co launches are pay-for-use
