I would suggest call the manufacturers to see who they have , some will send an approved repairer

Is it under warranty? If so, then you have to use the recommended manufacturers rep. If not, then I would recommend either Mr. Appliance or A+ Appliance. We have used both of them and were satisfied.

I would not hire anyone to fix it. Unless you bought a1000 dollar DW and that would be bat crap crazy, the repair is more than what it costs for a new one. You can pick them up at lows or HD for 275 bucks. I just bought one new at lowes SS GE for 249. Most any repair place will charge you 100 bucks just to get to the door. Most guarantees are a year or less. Put in new and your good to go. You can do it yourself. You have water in, drain out and 110 elect. a couple of screws in the top and pull it out.
