Yup it does fit in the pet friendly category, just not the gulf access category. Kind of a tall order. Especially since most have restrictions on the weight as well.

Harbor Hopper has a friend who bought a Goldendoodle on his boat last weekend. It was the cutest thing I ever saw

Can you tell me which of the 55+ Parks you mentioned rent out the manufactured villas? (As does "The Villages" in Central Florida?) I'm looking for something to rent for Jan., Feb, (possibly March), no farther north than Punta Grorda. I want an upscale, resort type place, with many amenities, planned activities, clubs, Bocce Ball, etc. Golf Carts, or Groceries in walking distance.. It would be nice if they have a Clubhouse large enough for stage entertainment (weekly) as in some of the Park Model Arizona resorts (like Road Haven). I will be flying down. I've tried to narrow this down so you can possibly help me out. I am overwhelmed by all the places.

Start here. Tis is the Port Charlotte search, but you can change the parameters. Good luck.

BTW, look at the Naples area. Nice area.

Most of the 55+ single family homes do not have their own private pool, just a community pool. There is one listing in Kings Gate right now with a pool and one in Venetian Falls that is more like a spa than a pool.

The problem with many of the Over-55 condo/villa communities and pools is that you don't own the site. However, Bobcat in North Port has individually owned sites and homes and is an Over-55 community. Still has restrictions. I have seen people get permits for small pools in detached villa-style condo developments. All depends on the HOA and how agreeable it is to such things.

We are closing on a villa this summer at Cypress Falls in North Port. The question we have is: the covenants include comcast, does the development supply the cable box and is the internet included? Anyone living there, the info would be helpful. Thanks.

Burnt Store Marina - Burnt Store Marina

They have single family homes and condos in different price ranges and many of them allow dogs up to 100 pounds. The community has many features including a marina. There is a master association fee on top of each individual area HOA fee in this community. Not 55+ though.
