Finally, on the 89th day after groundbreaking, we have water filling our cement pond.

Our finish is Krystalcrete quartz in the color of Blue Pepper.

It will look white for a couple weeks until you brush it a few times. Then the color really starts coming out. You'll be swimming in just a few days!!!!

WOW very very nice.
Well if I have enough money left over after installing hurricane protection, extra 15' of dock, new 12K boat lift with remote, and purchase a boat this is what I want. May have to go back to work but it will be worth every penny.

MA that is amazing, I really like the whole thing from the shape to the multi levels to the large area that is under screen.

Clint

P.S. I am up for adoption

It's beautiful, I like the large lanai most of all. Finally, you'll be swimming.

Default question

I know you were saying it would be just over 30K but now that it's all said and done, how much did it end up costing you? I know, I'm nosy. Please tell me to mind my own business if you'd rather not share.

No problem, Patty. It's no secret, since I chose to publish this thread. It cost $36,775. We got a lot of features for our money but the slow production was tough to live with. We are still pleased with our choice of contractors, coupled with price. I wouldn't pay $5000 extra to knock 30 days off. Even though this is day 89 of the pool, don't forget we started with the pocket doors remodel project last February and have been under construction ever since.

Thanks everyone, for the compliments and for following along. Once the salt cell has been optimized and water quality is balanced, I will post a couple of final photos. Maybe more when we select a statue for our water feature and get our decor in place.

We've got a couple of leaks where they cut our old lanai from back and a few punch list items but we're real close.

As I write this, pool is about 70% full. They said we can slow the fill overnight but don't stop it until it's over the waterline tiles or we will have a permanent bathtub ring on the quartz.

Looks fantastic. I'm glad I lost the 20 buck bet. Beautiful and thanks for keeping us all in the loop from start to finish.
