I have never heard of them either but I think they may be better known as Swedish Meatball Carpaccio.

Swedish pancakes used to be on the menu of the Original Pancake House restaurants, but I just did a Google search to see if there was one of those in Ft. Myers, or somewhere relatively close by on the SW coast here. Seems the Original Pancake Houses are all located on the east coast of Florida-from Miami to West Palm Beach, so that's a long schlep unless you're really hankering for some swedish pancakes.

The closest restaurant I could find that showed swedish pancakes on the menu was Millie's Cafe in Sarasota. Don't know if that's too far to go for breakfast, but I guess if you're really up for those swedish pancakes, it might be worth the trip..

Restaurants, Millie's Cafe, Dining in Sarasota, Florida

Not that it's close, but Jessica's restaurant in Roscoe has excellent Swedes...with lingonberries, of course. As I recall, they're the breakfast special on Thursdays - a dollar apiece.

They are similar to a crêpe but not as thin.

Darn, you got me all excited. I thought they were something like liege waffles, only pancakes. Hmmmm.
