I have a home built in North Port, and I need a few pocket doors repaired with new hardware since they do not want to seem to roll into the walls properly anymore. If anyone knows a contractor/handyman that has EXPERIENCE with pocket doors please pass along there contact info. Thank you!

FYI. The molding around the door must be removed. The pocket door can be removed and new hardware installed. New molding reinstalled, Tools-air compressor and air nail gun and miter saw. Caulk and paint. If the supporting track that supports the rollers is damaged the repair is more complicated as part of the wall must be remove to install a new track. This is a super pain project thus labor coast can be an item.

Mortpes nailed it. You will be very lucky to have a contractor show up for this job. They figure you just can't pay them enough to make the pita worth it. Good luck.

If the pocket door is more complex to fix and to find a contractor/handyman to repair is more of a hassle and expensive, I would ditch the pocket door and put another type of door in its place; if that is feasible.
