Very Nice Sunshhine I like the look of your place : ) We too have the stainless low smudge hahahaha wth is high smudge appliances .. though I wish I hadnt picked them. Your floor tile/Stone looks similar.... to ours, ( I picked out stone with less rectification) and I turned ours at a 45/ diagonal...yes more work more cutting a little more loss, and to further raise the bar : ) ..... I cut one corner off every tile so when those corners on 4 tiles come together I have room for a 4"x4" brown marble inset. I saved all those dang cut offs and used some of them for a band / transition/ Border(?) between the stone and bamboo floor.. the 3 bedrooms are bamboo. Looks nice but I am not sure its really practical, but I hate carpet. Cabinets are from Busy Bee mid range(?) All wood soft close..blabla in what I call French Vanilla..I used 4x4 tumbled Travertine for the kitchen backsplash and in the guest bath and I cut ground and polished enough of those 4x4's down to 1.5 x 4 to make my borders and again set my stone at a diagonal. I havent done the crown molding, and I am not sure I want to. I was never a trim carpenter but at least down here where its painted white, ( Our Vicky up north was stained oak) a little dab of caulk and a little dab of paint, makes a ... you surely heard the rest that one hahaha but I am not sure I am up to doing that.. I need to find a Finish Point where I can say: I am DONE and I get to go Sailing : )

I love the look and what a nice home indeed. Can that kind of slider be put on an older home and if so about what price range (ballpark) would that go for?

very unlikely, the engineering would be significant as would the cost.

appreciate all the kind comments, a lot of time and thought went into the design, the next one should be even better

there is a you tube video of the whole home, search for 'Windsor deluxe model' if you want a better look

The structure is quite different in its function at that kind of corner (cantilevered). It would surely be several thousand dollars to retrofit a house for that.

For those who don't know the origins of the corner window, which led to these corner sliders...

Thank my architectural hero, Frank Lloyd Wright.
